NEWS: Urban Games 2011 wins public vote for volunteering work from Orange RockCorps

The project has been featured on the Orange RockCorps website for a week from September 6th as the outstanding Music & Arts project nationally and was voted by the public the volunteering project that best deserved support.

CASE STUDY: The Urban Games Youth Steering Group
8th August 2011READ MOREOver the past year and a half we have worked with a group of around 25 young people that make up the youth steering group and leadership team for the Urban Games project. Aged from 13 up to 25 and comprising of young women and young men, this group has been integral to the designing and shaping of the programme including making key decision and planning the format of the big Games events.

CASE STUDY: The Youth Enterprise Hub (YEH)
8th August 2011READ MOREIn March 2011 Solar Learning set up a Youth Enterprise Hub in Newcastle. This development in our work emerged as a result of the ongoing engagement and interest with young people in our programme delivery. We received the Business Development Fund grant from Newcastle City Council that enabled us to establish the Youth Enterprise Hub (YEH) at Westmorland Business Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne.
